Hanna HollingsworthCO-WINEMAKERHailing from Atlantic City, NJ just two blocks from the beach, Hanna grew up tanning outdoors and playing classical piano indoors. We’ve been treated to a few impromptu concerts and she’s fantastic! Essential to her mastery of harvest and all the activity at the winery, she worked in the fast-paced world of fine dining for years, climbing her way to restaurant manager at a very young age. Hanna spent her first harvest at Carlton Winemakers Studio in Willamette Valley, Oregon. She loved it from the start and was completely hooked on this crazy adventure of making wine. From there she traveled to New South Wales, Australia to work a harvest and then on to Mendoza, Argentina to work at Bodega Calle. When we were looking for an intern in 2012, Hanna came highly recommended. We couldn’t have chosen a better fit for our EK family! She is a self-motivated wonder and brings unbridled enthusiasm to her job every day. We quickly saw her strengths and figured out a way to hire her as our Cellar Master. Today she is our Co-Winemaker and an essential part of our winemaking team — taking care of our wines in the cellar as well as the grapes out in the vineyards. If you have enjoyed an EK wine since our 2011 vintage (which she helped us blend), Hanna had a role in crafting it. With all she has to offer, we look forward to continually raising the bar for EK every year. Stay tuned!
