Lori draws on the forces of nature as she intricately weaves a pattern of rhythm and light that pulls you in both visually and on a deeper, much more personal level. There’s a feeling of calm and reassurance emanating from every painting that helps you take the time to look, to feel and to reconnect with the inherent mysteries and beauty that make up our world. “These paintings reflect my desire to be more closely connected to nature and my longing to slow down, observe and contemplate the dynamics of beauty found in daily life, ” says Lori. Her approach to art is that of discovery, building each painting layer by layer. And quite refreshingly, Lori is also inspired by that which gives pleasure to the senses. Hmmm. Kind of like us with our wines. |
