Robert Stewart & Eva-Lena Rehnmark
Well, we do frankly, enjoy as much gazing at one another as we can, but the notion that we are side by side sharing a similar view, one that we can relate to one another in words, in pictures or otherwise, is tantalizing. So it is curiosity, mutual respect of our views, and a desire to be closer that pushes us together creatively. The current work is our first exercise together. The engagement of our photography, paint and foil is the beginning of our creative journey together. Robert makes his living as a freelance commercial photographer, photographing people, places and a grand assortment of things. Eva-Lena is an illustrator, painter, and graphic designer. She has published a work of non-fiction entitled, “Neither God nor Devil: Rethinking our Perception of Wolves” as well as several children’s books.” We met Robert and Eva-Lena through a playgroup for our son Kalen. We hit it off right away and have admired Robert’s photography and Eva-Lena’s work as an illustrator and painter since our children first played together. They also happen to be two of the most genuine people you could ever meet. The art on our label represents their first collaboration combining Robert’s photos with Eva-Lena’s painting for a striking body of work. |
